The classic car star prize comes complete with 12 months servicing, breakdown cover and a voucher for classic insurance with Hagerty.
The car is powered by a 1.8litre B-series engine, 4-speed gearbox and overdrive. It has been given ground up restoration using a brand-new BMH Heritage bodyshell. It also comes with the addition of electric power steering to bring it up to modern standards, and an interior full black leather interior with up-rated walnut dashboard.
Jon Murden, Chief Executive of the National Motor Museum says, “This is the first time we have offered a classic car in our prize draw. Whilst the modern Minis that have been the star prize in the past have been fabulous, this MGB GT will give the winner a chance of experiencing the joy of owning and driving a true icon of British motoring. Each year our car raffle helps raise funds for our Museum allowing us to tell the story of motoring and to care for the thousands of motoring objects, photographs, archive film and our famous collection of vehicles.”
Second prize in the prize draw is the unique opportunity to have a seat in one of the National Motor Museum’s historic vehicles on the London to Brighton Run 2025. The prize includes accommodation in London for one night.
Third prize is a trip for three around the New Forest in a vehicle from the Museum Collection and a chocolate treat from the Beaulieu Chocolate Studio.
Tickets cost just £2 and can be purchased at the National Motor Museum information desk, or by phoning 01590 614792. The prize draw will take place on Friday 28 March 2025 at the National Motor Museum.
