Sunlight breaking through the trees in the New Forest
Whitchurch based Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants exhibit at the big RHS shows but they also take time to participate in local Hampshire plant fairs and one that is especially important for Rosy and Rob Hardy is the Longstock Plant & Gift Fair which takes place on 8 September at Longstock Park Nursery on the Leckford Estate. Profits from the plant sales go to help the North Hampshire Medical Fund Pinpoint Appeal buy an advanced Radiotherapy Planning CT Scanner.
This show allows Hampshire residents the opportunity to see and buy Chelsea Flower Show gold medal winning plants from three current Chelsea Gold medallists; Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants, Avon Bulbs and Pennards. In addition to the Chelsea stalwarts 15 local nurseries such as Phoenix Perennial Plants, Marcus Dancer, Fernlea Nurseries, Longacre Plants, Bentley Plants and Test Valley Nursery will also be showing a selection of their best plants and will be on hand to dispense gardening advice to show goers.
