Hampshire’s local food scene is thriving with talented people working hard to create delicious things. The Hampshire Food Festival is a time when these people and the fruits of their labour can take centre stage.
Celebrating its 15th year, the Hampshire Food Festival has grown from a weekend event to a month-long line up of over 75 events. There’s something for every type of food lover from vineyard tours to chef demonstrations, from pop-up restaurants to buffalo walks and much more.
The festival will come to a close with two large events. The New Forest and Hampshire County Show on the 28th, 29th and 30th July held at New Park in Brockenhurst. Tickets can be bought in advance at newforestshow.co.uk.
On Wednesday 29th July producers will be offering tastings of their food and drink in the Marwell Zoo Gift Shop, special offers will be available on the day. Normal zoo entry applies, 11am-4pm, www.marwell.org.uk/taste.
In Basingstoke on Sunday 2nd August, Taste at the Top of Town will feature a food theatre with demonstrations from chefs including Jean Christophe Novelli and winner of Great British Menu, James Durrant from 10am, www.topofthetown.org.
The Hampshire Food Festival is organised by the county’s local food group, Hampshire Fare.
