Highlights of CarFest 2017 included an outstanding lineup of live singers and bands, car extravaganzas and celebrity chefs. Busted, Olly Murs, and the Kaiser Chiefs took to the stage alongside festival favourites, Texas and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Car fanatics were able to celebrate some of the coolest and fastest cars from around the world in a ‘Car-Nations’ themed track sprint and foodies were able to sample mouthwatering food as Joe Hurd and Candice Brown cooked up a storm!
CarFest 2017 raised an amazing £3.1m bringing the total raised since 2012 to an incredible £10.5 million for BBC Children in Need.

Sunday: Busted, Rick Astley, Manic Street Preachers, Marc Almond, Texas, The Lionels, Tom Odell
There was also the Wigwam stage – the place to hear up and coming musicians.
Car fun: Hill Climb Track Show, Car Club displays, Vintage Village, and the ever popular Sporting Bears Dream Rides. The theme on the track sprint was ‘CAR-NATIONS’. The six biggest car manufacturing nations were represented: Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, the USA and Japan and highlights include Aston Martin’s Vulcan representing Britain, from Japan a 2004 Formula 1 BAR Honda and 1931 US Stock Car.
Family entertainment: dance workshops, camel racing, climbing walls, competitions, basket weaving, circus skills and more.
New for 2017:
Car-nival Parade with interesting vehicle creations, dancers, steel drums, marching bands and street entertainers.
The best 15 pimped up carnival vehicle ideas that festival-goers turned into a reality at the event led the parade.
The 2017 festival took place on 25 – 27 August.
