Sparsholt College’s Equine Centre has recently received a British Dressage Show Award 2012. The award is one of only three given out across the UK and is based on nominations from dressage competition entrants for the College’s organisation, efficiency, facilities, speed of results and atmosphere. This is the second consecutive year that Sparsholt has been awarded this award which is a highly unusual honour.
The Equine Centre is host to a British Dressage affiliated event each month in addition to being a regular venue for other shows and training hire. Aby Latham-Moore, British Dressage organiser for the College says: “We work with absolute determination to ensure that every competition hosted at the College is run with total precision and complete regard for the competitor. This Award is a testament to the team’s dedication and hard work and we are absolutely thrilled that the competitors have given us their support once again this year.”
The Equine facilities at Sparsholt are also British Horse Society-approved and have been designed to provide modern teaching facilities including 70 stables, an indoor arena, three outdoor arenas, horsewalker, grass rides and cross country schooling fences.
Sparsholt College offers a range of courses for those looking to develop their academic and vocational skills in the equine industry. Students can choose to study further education or higher education on a full time basis or attend a range of part-time or leisure courses delivered mainly at the weekend or in the evening.
