Take part in the Big Portsmouth Survey 2024

Have your say on how the council should spend its budget to support residents in the city.

How should we celebrate Portsmouth’s centenary as a city in 2026?

How can local services best support you and your family?

The Big Portsmouth Survey 2024 is open, and Portsmouth City Council is inviting all residents aged 16 and over to share their experiences and views on local services, council spending priorities, as well as give a view on how Portsmouth’s centenary should be celebrated.

Between now and Saturday 31 August people in the city can have their say by completing the survey online, over the phone (if you don’t have access to the internet) or in person by picking up a paper copy at your local library, community centre, BH-live run council leisure facility, or our Civic Offices reception.

Councillor Steve Pitt, Leader of Portsmouth City Council, said: “Residents are at the heart of what we do. We’d like you to share your views, so that we can shape our budgets and services to help provide the support that you and your family need.

“As well as this, 2026 will mark 100 years since Portsmouth was granted city status. This will be a great opportunity for a period of civic celebration. We want it to be a chance to reflect on what the city has been in that period, but also what it will become in the next 100 years. Tell us your views of how we should mark the occasion!

“The more people we hear from, the clearer the picture will be, so we urge everyone to take part. Your opinion matters and will help us shape the future of Portsmouth.”
